september at the bedford guild house

Welcome back to Bedford Guild House, our timetable is slowly starting to fill up and is looking much healthier. We have had Art Classes, Line Dancing and Pilates, Mindfulness Classes, Creative Writing and Tai Chi running for a while now Table tennis started last week and later this month we have Fitness & Fun, Dance, Bingo and Beadwork starting up again.

Fitness and fun will be run by a lovely chap named Lee and will encompass chair exercise in the regular class.

Dance for fun is a freestyle dance class which will be taught by Jenny. This dance class promises fun and laughter, music and movement!

Beadwork will be the same as last time, run by Gillian the first Monday of the month with the class “running itself” the other weeks.

Membership will remain at £5 per annum

We will be running a holiday to Potters on the 4th-8th July 2022 and have a new event – a reiki share with Elle,  happening in October which if it goes successfully will be run monthly.

We will be taking part in the Aging Well Exhibition on 13th October at The Bedford Corn Exchange, please come see our stall and show your support!

Stay Happy and Healthy!

slowly getting back to “normal”

Hello All!

It has been a difficult time for us all and although from 17th May we are able to run a few classes, by invitation, hopefully a degree of normality will return from 21st June, that’s if the Government roadmap is followed.

We are working hard to ensure all our classes can return, but we have lost some of our tutors. Hazel (Keep Fit) has moved, also Eve (Art) has relocated to Wales. Our thanks and best wishes for the future go to them both.

We are therefore looking for a new keep fit tutor to take our chair exercise and keep fit classes.

We are using this time to look at starting up some different classes, with mindfulness and mental & physical health in the forefront, to help everyone adjust after the long lockdown periods. Looking at new classes and organising the old, we have decided that our class fees may also go up. Membership will remain at £5pa

Potters holiday

Our holiday to Potters in July is still going ahead and we can now take more bookings.
